Rutherford County Board Of Education, standoff overnight. we were the first station on the scene. we have team coverage and we're learning

more about who is in the house at the time and how this all went down. preston jones is live with who police already arrested and who they're looking for. reporter: police arrested on woman for obstruction and also child endangerment.

officers say she was just in the house at the time. police are still out this morning searching for the woman they believe actually stabbed the victim. police say this started with a domestic situation around 9:20 wednesday night.

police believe a woman stabbed a man who came to the house. officers say the woman was standing in the doorway holding a large knife when they got here. sheraninside with another woman and the two young children.

after a six-hour standoff police found the two kids safe and that is when they arrested the other woman involved. they believe the woman who stabbed the victim snuck out the back. we know the victim is in the hospital. officers told me they believe the victim will be

okay. police are still searching for the woman who stabbed the victim that they have not given us any information about her identity as far as a description or name will check back in in the next half hour.i'm covering news that matters, preston jones

first time they have been called out to this house for a domestic incident. about 30 minutes ago i told you i spoke with neighbors who say they didn't hear anything last night or this morning and say they were shocked. they thought the couple was happy

and loving. however, preston spoke to a neighbor who lives across the street and he says this is the third time this week that police had to come out to this house. also, he says police were called out here earlier yesterday before thlate-night

standoff where that guy was stabbed. police say those two children, five and six, were their main priority while trying to end this standoff. a lot of things we take into consideration when we know the children are in the home. our first concern is always for

the children and any other innocent party in the home. reporter: police are looking for that email, possible suspect
